How did you hear about F3 and how did you get your F3 nickname?
Aaaayyyy sent me The Art of Manliness podcast episode with Dredd and OBT sometime in the Fall of 2017. Soon after that, San Antonio PAX came to launch in Austin at Zilker Park - now called The Festival. I wasn’t there for that launch but a few weeks later I made first post. Pollock had the Q. F3 was only an occasional activity for me but became much more regular once Lutz, Aaaayyyy, and I launched Sasquatch in January 2020.
So you were one of the original Sasquatchers (not sure if thats the actual name you all call yourselves) and were a Site Q there for a time…..Its seen some massive growth recently, resulting in some starfishing to other AO’s…..what is the biggest thing inm your opinion as to why that is happening?
It’s hard to say for sure. It does have a great site and it’s in the middle of fertile neighborhoods. It has also always had an encouraging atmosphere and a bit of a chill vibe. Maybe that has made men feel comfortable to return after their first post. It’s been a great AO to be a part of because there have been some pretty incredible HIMs that have found their way through Sasquatch.
Speaking of starfishing, you yourself have taken it upon yourself to starfish and plant a shovel flag at a new AO. Why did you make that decision and what are you most excited about in planting a new AO ?
I actually thought that Shootout, The Mill, and Tiger's Den would put a big dent in the Sasquatch numbers when they launched. But that didn't really happen. Sasquatch continued to grow and the 3 starfish AOs got established with good number quickly. It's clear there's demand for our movement in this area and we would be smart to give more men the option to be a part of what we have going on.
What can we look for next out of Whammo and where do you see that next 43 feet taking you in F3 Austin?
Sasquatch has become somewhat of an incubator for other AOs and I’d like to see that really accelerate. As far as Freestyle, my goal is to hand off Site Q to a PAX in Avery Ranch once it gets established and there is a willing candidate. I said at that Freestyle launch that there might be a half-million men in the Austin metro area. Imagine if we just got 1% of them to post. What effect could that have?
